Introducing the Longines HydroConquest XXII Commonwealth Games

As the Official Partner and Timekeeper of the Commonwealth Games in July 2022, Longines celebrates this global sporting event with the launch of the HydroConquest XXII Commonwealth Games: a glowing tribute to performance.

Longines partnership with the Commonwealth Games first began back in Perth, Australia in 1962. This reignited once again at the 2014 Games in Glasgow, Scotland, followed by the 2018 Games which saw a return to Australia once again. It was 2020 that cemented the relationship between Longines and the Commonwealth Games and concluded with the brand’s timekeeping expertise being harnessed for the 2022, 2026 and 2030 Games.

This year’s Commonwealth Games will be held in Birmingham, England, where Longines is both the Official Partner and Timekeeper. As a tribute to this exciting sporting event that brings together athletes from over 70 Commonwealth nations to compete against one another, Longines presents a special edition timepiece which joins the HydroConquest collection.

The HydroConquest collection is renowned for its high-performance timepieces for men and women that combine technical innovation and elegance. Water resistant to 300 metres and with a unidirectional rotating bezel, screw down crown and case back, and security folding clasp with integrated diving extension-piece, it harnesses all the codes of diving.

The HydroConquest XXII Commonwealth Games is limited to 2,022 pieces and is a colourful and daring execution. The black ceramic bezel and minute track of the black sunray dial are enhanced with the vivid colours of the event logo. The 41mm steel case houses a self-winding movement with silicon balance spring for elevated precision and life span. The case back is suitably engraved with the Birmingham 2022 logo and “Limited Edition – 1 out of 2022” and the watch is presented on a stainless-steel bracelet.

With enhanced high-performance features, Longines has provided this unique timepiece with a 5-year warranty. With a sporty and modern aesthetic and unique colourway, Longines have really hit the mark with this tribute to performance.
