The relationship between time and motorsport is a grand one, and timekeeping has played an essential role in racing as far back as the late 19th century, where horse-drawn carriage races were timed using pocket watches.

Girard-Perregaux Laureato Chronograph Aston Martin

The Laureato Chronograph Aston Martin Edition is the latest creation from Girard-Perregaux, made in collaboration with Aston Martin Lagonda. Its dial is suffused with a delightfully decadent application of what is now known as “Aston Martin Green”, achieved by painstakingly applying paint twenty-one times to the dial. The automotive influences also encompass cross-hatching, a diamond-like pattern first seen with the carmaker’s ‘AM’ logo (1921 – 1926). This motif was also inspired by the quilted seats found in the British brand’s numerous high-performance sports cars.

OMEGA Speedmaster Racing Co-Axial Moonwatch

This Speedmaster Racing Master Chronometer model features a 44.25 mm stainless steel case and bracelet with a black ceramic bezel ring that includes the famous tachymeter scale in Liquidmetal™

On the black dial, there is a distinctive racing style minute-track which gives the watch its name. There are also two subdials with blackened applied rings as well as a 6 o’clock date window that blends with the colour of the dial. The hour and minute hands are rhodium plated while the arrowhead indexes are 18K white gold with white Super-LumiNova.

The watch is driven by the OMEGA Co-Axial Master Chronometer 9900, certified by METAS at the industry’s highest standard.
